Details and features RS Datalogger
Inverter monitoring with RS Datalogger
Riello Solartech string inverters can be monitored via RS Datalogger connected to a Wi-Fi network present at the installation site or via Ethernet cable to a modem.
- Simple Plug&Play installation;
- Easy access and extreme configurability.
What can be monitored?
The RS Datalogger provides a simple and economical solution to achieve the following objectives:
- complete monitoring of all the inverter parameters of a system.
- monitoring of the inverters of a system with power limit function (power limitation - a digital multimeter is required for this application).
Communication ports
RS Datalogger is equipped with two communication ports RS485-1 and RS485-2 and each port can be connected to a maximum of 20 inverters. In addition, an external sensor can be connected to the system to measure the irradiance and external temperature of the panels.
The RS485-2 port must generally be configured in “Inverter” mode.
Default configuration
Once the RS Datalogger has been installed for monitoring or power limitation, without any other changes to its default settings, it can be used to:
- monitor a maximum of 20 inverters;
- and/or monitor the irradiance and temperature of the panels;
- communicate with the inverters via the RS485-1 port using its default Modbus parameters:
- Address: 1-20
- Baud rate: 9600 bps
- be connected to an Ethernet network that supports the DHCP protocol for automatic IP address assignment.
